Today, we went to Kid #3's university to find her parking lot, find out where her classes will be, take a look at the theater (she's a theater minor), get her student ID, go to the college bookstore and eat lunch in the Student Union!
In hindsight, (even though we felt a little weird) this was a great idea, because it took me with a paper map and a map on my phone, my husband driving and my kids looking out the window to figure out where to go!! After driving all over the campus and getting lost, we did figure everything out and I copied the addresses of each parking lot my daughter can park in so she can add those to her GPS for the first day of school.
We found all of her classes, the fine arts building, the theater, the library, the gym and the Student Union Building. She seemed very relieved when we were driving home, because now she's familiar with where everything is. We didn't want her to be flustered and late on the first day.
