We really enjoyed this picture book from the library: The Ocean Calls by Tino Cho. The last couple of pages in the book provide background information about the Haenyeo divers from Jeju Island in South Korea. The divers are all women, some of them up to age 80, who catch abalone, etc and sell their catch at the market.
