College Students
  • Both student are registering for the next semester already.  
  • We planned the sophomore to graduate at the end of next fall, but she will have a double major with 3 certifications (greenhouse management, horticulture, etc).  She's then going to finish her BFA at the university.  
  • The freshman is taking English 2, Psychology, American Music and he's still trying to find a fourth class to register for.  He's also starting to participate in sports clubs.
  • They both have all A's still.  They're good students.

  • Physics
    • Covered friction - Conceptual Physics
    • Video: "Types of Frictional Forces with Examples"
    • Video: "Mythbusters Phone Book Friction" - excellent!
    • LAB: Friction lab using spring scale, boards and weights
      • Measured the amount of force needed to move a board horizontally on top of another board
      • Measured the amount of force needed to move the board when the base board is inclined
      • Measured the amount of force needed to move the board horizontally and inclined when 120g of weight are added
      • Excellent lab - we were surprised by the results
