We did a little bit of bookwork today, but most of today was projects and PE.
2nd Grader
- Life of Fred Apples (I didn't feel like reading this today, but he cried to read it, so ((rolling my eyes)) we read it)
- All About Reading
- Read-aloud: Henry and Beezus (Beverly Cleary)
10th Grader
- She did her Bookshark J reading
Physical Education (together)
- They played basketball at the park with another homeschool family
Project-based Technology/STEM (together)
- I don't know what to call this, but I am setting aside one afternoon a week for the kids to work on STEM/technology projects. I have a big list of kits and projects that I want the kids to work on, including Evo Ozobot, some beginning circuitry kits, soldering, Lego Robot Inventor, learn to use the 3D printer, some coding, etc.
- I picked up an Evo Ozobot from the library and spent the afternoon figuring out how it works and installing its software
Our city's library had the Evo Student Pack and I was able to check a kit out with my library card.
I found these plans for 3D printer - plans go with the Ozobot. There's a little bulldozer, trailer, barrels, etc for the robot.
