Movies: We watched the movie version of The Giver.  She loved this movie and I'm thinking of getting the book from the library to see how different the book is from the movie.

We ended up watching the movie version of Animal Farm, based off the book by George Orwell.  We've already read the book, but she wanted to watch the movie version, too.  The movie version is really weird!  Not sure I recommend it.
